Installing

  1. Unzip the download. You'll get Cue.app.

    Drag it into /Applications.

  2. Double-click Cue.app to launch.

    Cue lives in the menu bar — there's no Dock icon and no window on first launch. Look for the waveform icon near the clock.

  3. Grant three permissions when macOS asks.
    • Microphone — to hear you. Dictation runs on-device; your audio never leaves your Mac.
    • Accessibility — to type the result into whatever app you're using.
    • Input Monitoring — to notice when you hold the trigger key.
  4. Hold Right Control and speak. Release to stop.

    The text lands wherever your cursor is. Press ⇧⌘G afterwards to rewrite it with AI. Both shortcuts are changeable in Settings → Shortcuts.

Coming from the beta? Drag the new Cue.app over the old one. Your license, API keys, and shortcut bindings all carry over — they live in the Keychain and macOS preferences, not inside the app. From 1.0.1 onward Cue updates itself, so this is the last time you'll download it by hand.
